The 2020 EXPO

Understanding the needs in the construction community to connect and innovate alongside our peers is one of our priorities. The GHCA will proudly host its Annual Construction Expo on Friday, August 28th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Plaza Fiesta Parking lot. This event allows vendors and sponsors to showcase products and services designed for the construction industry professionals, most of whom make purchasing decisions for their organizations.

Business Development: Exhibitors can connect with attendees seeking new solutions, products and partnerships that impact the way they do business.

Networking: The Expo presents a unique opportunity to reach a captive audience of Hispanic contractors who desire to learn, connect and partner with general contractors, subcontractors as well as private and public entities. Meet the movers and shakers in the construction industry in Georgia.

Matchmaking Sessions: General Contractors and Subcontractors will have the chance to briefly meet with each other for quick introductions and contact exchange.

COVID-19 Notice

Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we strongly encourage to keep a distance of at least 6 feet between the attendees and with the exhibitors. Also the use of face coverings is mandatory to attend the activity and to maintain the risk of spreading the virus as low as possible. Bathrooms are available inside Plaza Fiesta.

We encourage frequent employee hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 second and the use of hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. We encourage attendees to wash hands often and cover the mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing and sneezing. Avoid any type of physical contact. The lunch for the exhibitors will be pre-packaged in boxes. Refrain of participating if any of the participants are feeling sick or present any symptoms such as a fever, coughing, sore throat, headache or shortness of breath.

Event Guidelines, Protocols, and Recommendations

  • Mandatory use of masks
  • Social distancing (+6 feet apart)
  • Use of hand sanitizing (Provided at different areas throughout the event)
  • Handwashing stations will also be available at the entrance and exit of the event
  • Extended safety distance between exhibitors
  • Constant flow of guests

General Rules & Procedures

  • This event is outdoors
  • Exhibitors MUST bring a 10 x 10 tent, marketing materials, and promotional items
  • Exhibitors must bring their power generator in case they need to use electricity
  • GHCA staff will not be available to help set up or break down booths
  • The Exhibitor is responsible for any shipping related to the event and agrees to staff booths
  • We recommend Bi-lingual personnel and materials
  • Set up will begin at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on August 28, 2020. Cleanup time will start at 5:00 pm
  • Matchmaking will go from 3:00 to 5:00 pm (GCs and Subs must register before the event)
  • Space is leased with the understanding that the Exhibitor will hold the GHCA harmless from all liability, which may result from any cause whatsoever
  • Damage to the Exhibitor's property is the Exhibitor's responsibility
  • The GHCA assumes no responsibility for theft or disappearance of any part thereof, directly or indirectly
  • This event is subject to Dekalb county's COVID-19 guidelines, public health normative, and Statewide regulations.
